What it means
Named after C. Northcote Parkinson, who wrote it in 1955. Give a task a week and it takes a week; give it a day and it often fits.
A visible, shrinking budget of time is one of the best defences against it.
Example
| A report given 6 hours at $72.12 | $433 |
| Given 3 hours | $216 |
| Difference | $216 |
